How Long Before Email Shows as Read

Emails marked as read when I open Inbox. SOLVED: caused by Outlook reading mail

as the title says, when I open my Thunderbird to read emails all the new emails are already marked every bit Read, not highlighted. I uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird and it is all the same not marking new emails in a bold alphabetic character, but in normal light text, marked every bit read. I have given donation to Mozilla and I really tin't believe how difficult it was to become to this point in getting some customer service . Delight tell me why this is happening.

OK, I solved the problem of my emails being read before I read them. I had completely forgotten that I had setup my primary e-mail account in Outlook.com email client. I hadn't opened that Outlook e-mail in many months because I usually only go there to see my Hotmail business relationship. For some reason even though I didn't get to Outlook.com to wait at my primary email account, information technology was marking the emails as read in Thunderbird..??

I removed the primary account from Outlook.com client and the problem was solved. Thank you for any and all suggestions!

Past far the almost mutual cause is email being received on a phone. Are you getting mail on your phone? Does the trouble occur if you plough the telephone off and receive mail service in Thunderbird that has non been downloaded to the phone.

The cause is usually the mail service app on the phone marking mail on the server read when information technology is downloaded there.

I exercise not have this electronic mail account on my cell phone. My computer and my cell practice not share an email account.

Do you but read emails for that email address in Thunderbird on one computer? For example exercise you access the email account via more than one computer? Do you access those emails via webmail? Is it a POP or Imap post account?

If you but access that electronic mail address via Thunderbird, then the mail should exist automobile 'unread' on download, only I wonder if there is some setting that could be effecting incoming mail.... Thinking out aloud here :) If you have enabled the adaptive junk mail controls, then everything will probably be going through the Junk filter controls, and so lets start with that.

What setting do you take for Junk in Options? 'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Options' > 'Security' > 'Junk' tab uncheck : 'Mark messages determined to be Junk as read' click on 'OK'

I only have been reading mail from this email account from my one PC...I know what your saying though considering I one time had the email business relationship setup to view on my cell, simply I didn't like viewing them on my piffling cell phone and so I eliminated the account in in that location...I did come across so that if I read them on a cell it would marking them as Read on my PC, and then I gauge that isn't the problem.

No clue what happened to crusade this, I've been using Thunderbird and this electronic mail business relationship for at least four or five years and this trouble just suddenly started. Perhaps its possible that someone has hacked into my email account and is reading all my emails but I accept no idea why anyone would desire to, at that place isn't anything special almost them.
